Privacy Policy

Resetly is private by default. We never sell or share your personal data. Out of the box, nothing about how you use the app leaves your device — analytics are off until you turn them on.
What we collect
By default: nothing. Blocking, schedules, stats, rewards and the cleaner all run entirely on your device, and the app works fully signed out.
Two optional things can send data to our servers, and both are your choice:
- Signing in (optional) — creates an account so your settings and Parent Mode can work across devices.
- Sharing optional usage data (optional, off by default) — helps us understand which features people actually use.
If you do neither, Resetly makes no network requests about you at all.
Signing in
Signing in is optional — every feature and purchase works without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we store your email address, display name, and an account User ID in our database (hosted on Supabase) so the app can recognise you across devices and support Parent Mode pairing. We never receive your password. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Advanced settings → Delete account.
Optional usage data (off by default)
If you switch on Settings → Share anonymous usage data, Resetly sends us product events — things like “a focus session was completed”, “the paywall was viewed”, or “onboarding finished” — along with a random per-install identifier, your app version, and which marketing link brought you to the app (if any). When you are signed in, events also include your account User ID and may be linked to your account. When signed out, events use only the random per-install identifier.
This data is not linked to advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. While the setting is off, no events are recorded, no identifier is created, and nothing is sent. Turning it off later deletes the queued data and the identifier from your device.
Parent Mode & family data
If you use Parent Mode, a child profile name and a pairing secret are stored so a parent’s device can approve break requests. The parent passcode itself is never stored or transmitted in a readable form — only a slow, salted cryptographic hash is kept, in the device’s Keychain. Approval codes are generated on-device.
Screen Time and app usage
Resetly uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls and DeviceActivity) to block apps and display your usage. This information is processed on your device inside Apple’s secure framework and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
Health & Fitness data
Resetly reads your daily step count and how long you slept from Apple Health for one purpose only: to calculate rewards that unlock Resetly Pro (for example, 10,000 steps or 8 hours of sleep in a day, or a 15-day streak). This Health data is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted off your device, never uploaded to any server, never sold or shared, and is never used for advertising or tracking. Health access is optional and is requested only when you open the Rewards feature. You can revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health → Resetly.
Photos
The Cleaner feature accesses your photo library only to find large videos, screenshots, and duplicate photos so you can free up storage. Photos are analysed on your device and never leave it. We do not upload, copy, or transmit your photos.
Notifications
Resetly sends local notifications (focus reminders and wellbeing nudges) directly from your device. These are not push notifications and involve no server.
Purchases
Resetly Pro is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details.
Third parties
Resetly contains no advertising or tracking SDKs. We use two service providers, and only for the optional features above:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles sign-in. Used only if you sign in or opt into usage data.
- Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
You can turn off usage sharing at any time in Settings, and delete your account and all server-side data from Settings → Account → Advanced settings → Delete account. If you would rather email us, write to cosmiqapps@gmail.com and we will erase your data.
Children
Resetly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Parent Mode is configured by a parent or guardian on the child’s device; the only data it stores is a profile name and a pairing secret, both of which are removed when Parent Mode is turned off.
