Frequently asked questions
Is Resetly really free?
Yes. Focus blocks, a schedule, gentle enforcement, screen-time stats, wellbeing nudges, and the large-file cleaner are all free. Resetly Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks a few extras and helps support development.
Do you collect any of my data?
By default, no. Blocking, stats, rewards and the cleaner all run on your device, and your Screen Time, Health and photo data never leave your phone. Two things are optional and entirely your choice: signing in (which stores your email and name so Parent Mode can work across devices), and sharing anonymous usage data, which is off unless you switch it on. There are no ads and no tracking SDKs.
Do I need an account?
No account is required — every feature works signed out. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional; if you use it, we store your email and display name so your account works across devices, and you can delete it anytime from Settings.
How does blocking work?
Resetly uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls and Device Activity) to block the apps and websites you choose. You pick how firm it is: Gentle lets you end a block early if you really need to, while Hard block (Strict Mode) holds you to it until the session ends.
